Steven R. Homeyer, P.E., C.F.M.

President

Steven Homeyer graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. While attending Texas A&M and after graduation, Steven worked for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) in the Bryan District where he gained over seven years of experience in surveying, roadway design and construction inspection.

Steven left TxDOT to begin his career at the municipal level where he worked for the City of College Station, Texas; the City of Grapevine, Texas and the City of Lewisville, Texas. Steven was actively involved in the development review process for all three cities. At the City of College Station, Steven was responsible for the development review process as the Assistant to the City Engineer. He was also responsible for the inspection of all residential and commercial development projects within the city. As a Civil Engineer for the City of Grapevine, Steven was responsible for reviewing the civil construction drawings for the Gaylord Texan and operating as the project manager for the public improvements associated with the initial phases of the hotel. As the Assistant City Engineer for the City of Lewisville, Steven was responsible for reviewing the civil engineering plans and the construction inspection of all residential and commercial development projects. Steven was also the Floodplain Manager where he was responsible for reviewing and permitting all development within the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) regulated floodplains.

Homeyer Engineering, Inc. was formed based upon Steven's desire to further utilize his previous experiences in the development and construction industries. Due to Steven's twenty plus years of combined TxDOT, municipal and private engineering experience, Steven has the ability to understand the development review process from multiple perspectives. This experience provides for the insight necessary to address key issues during the design, review and construction phases of the project.

Steven is a licensed professional engineer in Texas (86942) and Oklahoma (24850). He is also a Nationally Accredited Certified Floodplain Manager (0008-96N). In addition, Steven is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the Texas Society of Professional Engineers, the American Public Works Association and the Texas Floodplain Managers Association. At the local level, Steven is a member of the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce, the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce and the Lewisville Morning Rotary Club. Steven also supports his alma mater as a Century Club Member of The Association of Former Students at Texas A&M University.

Steven looks forward to visiting with you regarding any of your development needs from zoning and platting to site planning and the preparation of construction drawings.
